Nandaimon

The impressive wooden Great South Gate, called Nandaimon, leads to Todai-ji temple's main building, on the northern side of the park. The original gate was destroyed by a typhoon in 962 and rebuilt in 1199 (Kamamura period), it is considered a National treasure.
