Maruyama kōen
Maruyama kōen is the main center for hanami in Kyoto, the park's star attraction is a weeping cherry tree (shidarezakura) which becomes lit up at night, its said to be one of the oldest and largest cherry trees in Kyoto. The main entrance to the park is through Yasaka Shrine, which is at the eastern end of Shijō-dōri in the Gion District.
