Chichū Bijutsukan
I cant even do justice in explaining this museum. It has become my most favorite place to be. Chichū Bijutsukan translates to art museum in the earth, and that is exactly what it is. The architecture is simply amazing. Though all concrete, you still get this feeling of warmth. It was designed by architect Tadao Ando. Despite the building being buried underground, it was created in a way that exclusively uses natural light to illuminate a number of its exhibits, the appearance and feeling of the art changes throughout the days light, which in essence, encompasses the architecture into the art on display. I have never been moved to near tears by something so beautiful. The museum does not allow any pictures, so I snapped a few on my mini camera, this is just a glimps of the beauty from underground.
