Walk Kiyamachi-dori

Running late to meet Sho, I found myself walking down Kiyamachi-dori which runs next to the Takase-gawa, a beautiful sakura lined river/canal. It was originally built in 1611 to transport goods to the center of Kyoto, it made large contributions to the economic growth. It rises from Nijō-Kiyamachi, going along Kiyamachi Street, and meets the Uji River at Fushimi port. It is 10.5km long.
